OF BDJ
It all started with a search for the perfect planner.
The year 2006 was about to start and I wanted
to be able to manage my life - be more organized,
do more things, be clearer with what I wanted
to do with my life. Yet, despite searching bookstore
to bookstore, no planner could satisfy my idea
of the perfect planner. Thus, as a last resort,
I designed my own planner. I followed some time
management principles I read up on and personalized
the layout. I even included my favorite illustrations
and poems/articles in the planner. After I finished
the design and the content, I printed out the
planner and had it bound. I was really happy with
my planner.
My friends then started noticing
my planner, complimented me on it, and suggested
that I mass produce it, with some tweaking of
course! My planner was extremely OC, with more
time management frameworks. I decided to make
a business out of it then the ideas came from
my closest friends and mentors. I asked some of
my closest friends to join me in the business,
each bringing something unique that complement
all of our talents. And there you go, we had Belle
de Jour Enterprises. Until we started selling
did we only realize we had a great product! It
was really exciting getting orders and hearing
from our customers about how much they love the
planner.
Now, because of all the excitement
and buzz around the product, we just had to extend
the Belle de Jour power planner online. We envision
creating a community for you that's also made
up of you - the fashionista achievers, the stylish
go-getters, or better yet - the Belle de Jour
girls.
